Q: What is a fest/prompt meme?

A: A fest/prompt meme is similar to an exchange, except instead of assignments, prompts are claimed.

Q: What counts as a 'rarepair'?
A:  For the purpose of this fest, any pairing that has less than 500 works on AO3 when the 'otp:true' filter is applied.

Q: Are original character pairings allowed?
A: Yes. Both canon character/original character and original character/original character pairings are allowed.

Q: What is ‘Nominations’?

A: Nominations is the period where anyone interested in the fest can suggest fandoms and relationships for the Tag Set.

 

Q: What is the 'Tag Set’?

A: The Tag Set is the collection of tags that you can use on your requests when signing up for the exchange.

Q: How do sign-ups work?
A:  You submit 1-10 prompts which can be claimed by anyone.

Q: If I sign-up do I have to claim someone elses prompts?
A: No.

Q: Can I claim a prompt without signing up?
A: Yes.

Q: Can I claim a prompt after the round is over?
A: Yes.
 

Q: Can I include a 'Dear Creator Letter’ in my prompt(s)?

A: Yes.

 

Q: Can I include 'Do Not Wants" in my prompt(s)?

A:  Yes.

Possibly silly question, but I've never participated in a prompt fest on AO3 before. If someone else has claimed a prompt I liked, can I claim that as well, or can prompts only be claimed once?

Prompts can be claimed by more than one person.

Are ships with more than two members allowed?

Yes. All types of ship configurations are allowed.

Dumb question.. what is the "otp:true" filter?

Edit: nvm, googled and figured it out! For anyone else who's never heard of this, you can put "otp: true" in the "search within results" field and it will show fics with the pairing you specified ONLY. (I'm actually super thrilled to know this trick now, hah.)

Can I nominate “Character A/Character B & Character B/Character C” as a tag, or do I need to nom it as A/B/C? And if it’s the latter, can I DNW A/C?

Compound nominations (ex: A/B & B/C) are not allowed. DNW a relationship between A/C when requesting A/B/C is also not allowed. I would recommend nominating A/B and B/C separately, then specifying in your likes that you would prefer for B to be involved with both A and C at the same time.

Should we be counting works in all languages to see if a ship qualifies, or only in English?
